Town Teams
Oct 04, 2019
Laura works at Otakaro Ltd as a Placemaker. Prior to Otakaro she worked at the CCC and was very influential on the transtional activity team post earthquakes. The Club worked alongside her at Kahikatea Commons on the Pizza Oven and Butterfly house project. She has other projects that we as a club might like to consider as opportunities to continue our regenertion efforts in the inner city and neighbourhoods. |

The Great Debate - Round 1
Oct 11, 2019
At the recent regioanl conference I observed rotarians struggling to solve the problem of membership. My immediate thought was if they cannot solve that issue then what use are they to the wider movement? This "debate" provides a chance for the Club to solve community problems by discussing the issues in an open forum. First topic - Child Poverty. It is rare for us as a club to share our views in the short time that we are together at meetings, with the exception of club matters. We are a community serving organisation so let us see if we can find answers to the problems that the Govt can't. |
