Himalayan Adventure TBC
Aug 09, 2019
MY HIMALAYAN ADVENTURE Working as a Business Development Consultant with Sovereign/AIA in my day-to-day life, the chance to spend my holidays doing something completely different is an attractive option. However, I did have to question my choices when I found myself spending my annual leave in a foreign land, getting up before 6 am to trek for hours each day, with no showers, eating dal bhat for every meal, and testing my physical and mental ability to the max. Seeing incredible scenery, meeting the most beautiful and hard-working people, and experiencing the incredible and overwhelming feeling of smallness in a giant world was something I will never forget. |

The Great Debate - Round 1
Oct 11, 2019
At the recent regioanl conference I observed rotarians struggling to solve the problem of membership. My immediate thought was if they cannot solve that issue then what use are they to the wider movement? This "debate" provides a chance for the Club to solve community problems by discussing the issues in an open forum. First topic - Child Poverty. It is rare for us as a club to share our views in the short time that we are together at meetings, with the exception of club matters. We are a community serving organisation so let us see if we can find answers to the problems that the Govt can't. |
